Art Trees

131 / 365
I first noticed the "Painted Forest" last winter as it stood our against the stark snowy landscape. The artist / landscaper collaborators describe it in this way: "Consisting of 100 defoliated [dead] trees approximately 12-15 feet in height painted with vivid orange and yellow hues, the exhibit emphasizes the elegant shape and branching structure of each tree’s canopy." I've been meaning to photograph them for a while and took the opportunity while sitting at a stoplight.

Very interesting... I'd never seen anything quite like this before. (I usually just turn dead trees into firewood!)

I am so glad you got a shot of these! I wanted to photograph them as I passed by on my way out of town on Mother's Day, but I couldn't focus too well while trying to steer the car around the curve. Yikes! :-)

365 should come with one of those orange stickers that says: Do not take photos while at the wheel...
