Day 17 - These are flowers on my Mimosa tree, nothing strange there other than this tree was killed in March 2018 (due to the Beast from the East - heavy snow) We never cut the trunk down (you can just make it out behind the leaves) and the following year a twig started growing from the bottom of the dead drunk, this is the first year it has had any flowers on!
@countrylassie I'm not sure it it's normal as the original ones I had only lasted for a year @louannwarren That's how I look upon it @marlboromaam It normally has loads of yellow flowers @ingrid01 It must have been asleep as it was over a year before it started sprouting right at the base of the old trunk @ludwigsdiana It was such a wonderful surprise @carole_sandford It certainly is the kind of surprise I like!
