Colombian Star escorted in to harbour

The dramatic sky makes it look like the ship is being brought in to safety from a violent storm. To me, the water between the ship and the bottom edge add a sense of loneliness. Anyhow, I really like the picture.
Dramatic sky.

Lovely harbour shot. This brings to my mind the scene that we have seen very often of the tanker 'Ohio' arriving in Malta during WWII when Malta was on the brink of surrendering to Axis forces because of the lack food, fuel and ammunition to keep on fighting. It was part of the largest convoy which was sent to Malta to help it continue the struggle. The convoy was named Operation Pedestal if you care to read about it.

There is a lot to see in this picture. The wee tugs bobbing about in front and behind, the houses, the faraway ship...
