Southend Pier is a major landmark in Southend-on-Sea. Extending 1.34 miles into the Thames Estuary, it is the longest pleasure pier in the world.
Ha...that takes me back...used to spend all summers there with my Nan when I was little...loved all that entire area, Leigh, Westcliffe, Shoeburyness....quite the little Essex girl I was then......although I lived in Bucks.....
