Had a fabulous day at Rochester Sweeps festival with hubby and Bex today.
There was a farmers market so we had lunch, Bex a bacon sandwich, hubby and i had a delicious sausage baguette with load of salad and also enjoyed cakes afterwards.
We then enjoyed watching morris dancing and I was taking loads of photos throughly enjoying the photography bug. I think maybe Bex and hubby was a little bored but they were throughly enjoying chatting. Bex also enjoying looking at all the dogs as there were lots around.
Rochester is a lovely town and has lots of nice cafes, shops, and lots of history. We park in Strood and walk across the bridge.
Tatter coats are the traditional dress for Morris sides which perform dances from the Welsh borders, as here. Unless things have changed much since the year I went, most of the sides at the Sweeps are Border sides.
I was born and brought up in Chatham, the next town along!
Nice shot - great action and I like the shadows too.
