I can not do any hand sewing without a thimble. And this thimble is my most treasured and favourite thimble. I have had since I was 16 (not that long ago really) It was given to me by my company when I was doing my City and Guild Menswear tailoring course. And I know I'm sounding old now but they do not make them like this anymore. They are so light and flimsy now in comparison. All the thimbles behind are my make do when I have misplaced this one and they certainly are not the same....Back to work now. Finishing off boy dolly clothes now.
