Today I started making block 8 for the 365 quilt challenge. Then I moved onto making this bag for my sister-in-law. Got the laptop out to design the writing which took a little longer than expected but got there.
Stopped to cook lunch carrot and butternut squash soup. Carried on with making the bag, machined the designs which took 35 mins and 18 minutes.
Took a break at 2:15 to go for a walk with Millie to the country park 3.5 miles, to keep up the miles as I am doing the 1000 mile a year challenge.
Quite a cold day.
Finished the bag late afternoon. Wrapped and labelled ready to take over tomorrow. Also finished the other patchwork bag with attaching the handles which I'm giving to my mum.
Book arrived from Amazon Jamies 5 ingredients book, had a brief look through - some delicious recipes, looking forward to trying.
Cooked Red Butter Curry for dinner, everyones favourite, always goes down well.
This evening made the quilt block 9 .
You're so clever with all your craft projects. I'm a nightmare with a sewing machine. I was so relieved when Ellen gave up dancing and I no longer had to mangle her costumes.
Jamie Oliver is a great favourite in my house and on the very rare occasions when my husband cooks tea, the 5 ingredients book is the first one he reaches for.
Well done on the bag, also the 365 quilt challenge! I've considered doing it but just not sure I'll find the time! (Check out my last post which was a visit to the Kaffe Fassett exhibition.)
