Now I know which one I prefer and that’s the pink one on the right. But as mother of the bride should I actually go for the navy on the left? It’s not really me though. I’m just in such a turmoil over how to dress for my daughters wedding.
Would really appreciate any comments on making this decision. Thank you. 😊
My advice is to go with whichever hat you feel right/good in. You'll be more comfortable on the day in something that makes you feel good.
And if it's a concern, you'll look more relaxed and natural and therefore good in the photos too.
Colour wise I considered the wedding colour theme & had something that went with that. I had no clue what I wanted & the colour was not one that I would have thought of, it was the lady in the dress shop that suggested it. I had silver/ grey, to go with the colour purple ( Cadbury’s purple) . I also had a fascinator rather than a hat. But basically it comes down to what you like & feel comfortable in.
The one on the left is elegant & smart but I am inclined to choose the right hand side one….depends what colour scheme the rest of the wedding is. You have dark brown hair if I remember rightly so the pale pink would be lovely. Ask your daughter which she likes best!
@carole_sandford@happypat Thank you for your kind words. The colours of the wedding are Millie will be wearing sage green ( very pale) and the guys are in pale grey tails coats with emerald green (very dark) waistcoats. And there are hints of bronze. The only dresses that I liked when out shopping was the one I chose or sage green and I certainly did want to look like I was a bridesmaid. Also not a lot of choices especially since I'm not very tall and quite a few of the styles were not suitable to shorten. So I think I'm going to stay with my original choice pale pink one which matches in nicely with the flowers on the dress. When I spoke to Becka today she said to wear what I felt most comfortable wearing. :-)
@bizziebeeme pale pink goes beautifully with sage green…. The colours of my new bedroom! Sounds lovely! Are you making your own outfit or have you enough on with the cake etc.
You have just one time to do this, to be you. Follow your heart and stop making it giant deal. I survived a step-daughters wedding. We shared a table with all of the exes. It's your kid, run the show! For real.
