I've been so enthralled with watching the cicadas the last few years, trying to catch them at their various stages. I only wish I could just sit and watch from the time they crawl up out of the ground and attach themselves to the trunk or low branch of the tree, to when their shell starts to split, watch the very beginnings of when they begin to find their way out of the shell, to the moment when their wings are dry enough to carry them up and away! In the meantime, I'm happy with the photos I've been able to get so far!
