Black Bear

Ken spied this black bear on a hillside not far from the road and from our home as we were heading into Missoula for the day. Glad Ken has good eyes even while driving! He pulled over and I had to hurriedly change my lens back to the telephoto one. Thankfully, Mr. Bear didn't head up into woods until I had taken this photo. :-)

Wow, can't imagine seeing a bear wandering on the side of the road. You must be very adept at lens changes to do it fast enough to get the shot. :)

Amazing capture! I had a bear surprise me in our driveway two weeks ago. Unfortunately I didn’t even have my phone with me to get a photo so I’m very impressed with your quick lens change.
