Lonely Robin by bjywamer

Lonely Robin

Didn't see many robins this year, so was surprised to see this one by our garden on the first snow day of the season.
Nicely captured! We had almost summer-like temps here...

@carolmactx Thank you, Carol! Snow didn't last but will probably do so before too long now. Supposed to get much colder later this week...

@milaniet Hard to say how this winter will be, Milanie. Last winter was so mild and very little snow at our elevation; but the previous winter we had lots and it really piled up. I'm hoping for something in between the two winters. :-)

@happysnaps It's amazing, isn't it, Valerie, how God made little birds feet so able to endure cold?!

@casablanca Thanks, Casa! Not really all that early for snow in our parts. I enjoy a prolonged fall, though. What is your weather like at this time of the year?

@kvphoto @mittens Thanks, ladies!

@bjywamer Damp, heavy rain due tomorrow, and leaves falling. Occasional storms And the temperature falling to an average of around 10-15 degrees centigrade. Snow is pretty much unheard of here until Jan/Feb and not always then either! We always dream of a white Christmas but almost never get it!

@casablanca Oh, I really dislike winter rain. I grew up in Kentucky and winters were gray and dismal and damp...so bone-chilling! But, if I had the chance to visit you at any time of the year, I wouldn't let a bit of damp weather stop me! :-) Stay warm and dry, friend!
