And Then There Was A Buck...

While watching several whitetail doe yesterday alongside some "REAL" photographers who had stepped out of their rigs carrying cameras with honking BIG lenses, I noticed that they suddenly grabbed their tripods and hurriedly were setting up along the roadside. Turns out this very nice-looking whitetail buck had come out of the brush. I was happy to get the shot that I did with my small 300mm lens! :-)
Some of those lenses just blow my mind! You know that's where you need to look of course.

I've never used a big lens. Not sure I could lift the things and balance LOL. What a wonderful creature

It's not the gear that gets the shot- it's the photographer holding it! So well done. I had a whole family at the bird feeder this morning but I was more interested in chasing them away than getting their picture I confess!

@olivetreeann Thank you, Ann! I have some friends (husband and wife) who are terrific photographers and they have said the same thing! Thanks for the encouragement today! Tomorrow is probably another day with opportunities to get photos of those birds, if your experience is anything like ours, where the birds "know" there will be a feast for them daily. lol
