I have been wishing for some time to see a moose here on our ministry property so I could get a photo for posting here on 365. Normally, we see them here fairly frequently, but I had not been blessed to see any for a very long time. Imagine my surprise and delight when I opened my bedroom curtains to find this young moose only a few feet from the house, browsing on the wild rose hips!
Even though I had to take my 100+ photos through a very dirty window I got about 40+ that I am very happy with! Now the hard part is choosing which of them to post! I chose this one for the Blue Christmas theme and, hopefully, to give you some idea of the size of a young moose. Mama moose came along a bit later but I was not able to get really good shots of her... She was the size of a horse! Maybe even taller at the shoulder... Needless to say, I will continue to watch for opportunities to get some photos of a full-grown moose for posting here!
