Frank Oliver Memorial Park by bkbinthecity

Frank Oliver Memorial Park

Frank Oliver was an early pioneer in Edmonton. He started the first newspaper, The Edmonton Bulletin, was a member of the Northwest Council the forerunner for the provincial government and he went on to serve as a Member of Parliament with the Liberal Government serving as a Cabinet Minister.
This park is located in front of the Hotel MacDonald which is close to the original location of his newspaper. The original building still exists and now sits in Fort Edmonton Park.
