@henrir Henri the white in this case is snow but along the banks of the creek one can find a white coloured mud

@ribbet9 Candace the name comes from a white coloured mud that is found along the banks of the creek. It was used to whitewash the buildings of the Hudson Bay Company at Fort Edmonton
