Located in the park is a section of land that once was the homestead of Joseph Mcdonald a Metis farmer who raised his family on this land. He lived here for 34 years
Wow! Awesome that they put a memorial to him. Love your historical findings, photos and stories that go with them.

He'd probably be surprised to see a stone where his home once stood. It's nice that he was included in the history of the park as he was a large part of Edmonton's history overall.
