Remembering A Prince

When I heard of the passing of Prince Philip I decided to put together a collage as a tribute for the man. The top photo is an archive picture of the first visit the royal couple made to Edmonton. It was in 1951 and the picture was taken at the Fairmont Hotel Lobby.
The bottom two pictures were take in London on a trip that Melody and I made to England in 1990 as part of a program we took while in Bible College
Splendid homage.
It strikes me that in most photos of the couple, they have that look for each other. I wonder if it is love or royal etiquette. I prefer the first explanation.

A splendid man, will be missed by many esp The Queen.

His DofE award was the making of my youngest and when we went to Buck House for her Gold Award presentation HRH came to her group to chat to the young people, made the ceremony complete for her.

Even though everyone knew he was ill & frail it was still a shock when the announcement came. A lovely collage to honour the Duke of Edinburgh.

Most of what Americans know about Prince Phillip is from the TV show The Crown. He always seemed so elegant -- tall and slim and handsome.

Lovely collage, Brian. If I'm not mistaken the tulip shot has the Canada Gates in the background.
