Today is Mother's Day so l decided to post this picture. Canada Geese it seems will nest almost anywhere. Discovered this mother who chose the entrance to one of the office towers downtown .
According to the cleaning staff the mother was sitting on four eggs.
The staff ended up blocking off the entrance outside and in to prevent anyone from using the doorway.
Once eggs are laid the mother and the eggs are actually protected by law here in Canada
Very cool story, though I am not a Canada Goose fan. My backyard butts up to a marsh and we have many that want to hang out in our yard...tons of goose poop, need I say more :-)
That is so funny- when birds or other critters do something like this it always makes you think, "What are they thinking?!" That was nice of the staff to block it off. Many might let it be and see what happens. Good catch!
