Coming Down Part 2 by bkbinthecity

Coming Down Part 2

Just north of the building in yesterday's post is this building. The two buildings beside it are already torn down and this one will be soon.
In its place will be two high rise condos
Price of progress eh?

Nicely captured

I guess they felt they could build new and not try to renovate the old. I do like the white building.
October 26th, 2021
Too bad. It has some very nice details.
October 26th, 2021
The white building has nice appeal. Hopefully the high-rise condominium will fit into the urbanscape.
October 26th, 2021
Same thing happening everywhere, it seems.
October 26th, 2021
I suppose they know why they are doing it, still such a pity to see all the old buildings disappear.
October 26th, 2021
These old buildings have character.
October 26th, 2021
That is a lot of reconstruction going on.
October 26th, 2021
Such a shame to loose these old buildings
October 26th, 2021
I agree, it’s always a pity when buildings like this are pulled down in the name of progress.
October 26th, 2021
I wonder if the condos will last as long?
October 26th, 2021
great to see the work in progress
love the clouds
October 26th, 2021
Nice capture

Such a shame to lose buildings like this and have them replaced with high rise condos. It's great that you got this photo before the demolition, though.
October 26th, 2021
good storytelling bkb
October 27th, 2021
Too bad, wish we could keep some buildings for posterity.
October 27th, 2021
Of course. Tear something down with a bit of personality to build some cold and modern structure, probably like those to the far right.
October 27th, 2021
Great shot - recording history!
October 27th, 2021
Hopefully something nice will be built that brings more life into the neighborhood
October 27th, 2021
Sometimes necessary for progress. But I like to see architecturally interesting buildings repurposed, but not every old building is worth saving.
October 27th, 2021
Nice image.
October 27th, 2021
Much as I like old buildings, I realize not all of them can be saved.
October 27th, 2021
Nice capture. Too bad they can't just leave these units.
