Last night by other half came home with a few silly nice things for me - some Lebanese soup, some lemon cake (my fav type!) and these keys he's rescued out of what remains of his workplace. Ok, its not chocs and flowers, but it made me melt. His job of 23 years has gone, the company has folded and yet he still thought of me while working these last two weeks for the official receivers.
But good news is although he lost his job, just found out today that two people have offered him another job, so good for him! Got a week to make up his mind which he likes best :-)
Am off to London this weekend (back to civilisation, lol) so hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
Have your papers run out Freida heading south already ! ... Good luck to your fellow hope it works out for him .. It's not easy working for the receivers done that got the T shirt ... Nice piccy enjoy your weekend
So romantic! I love that - better than flowers and chocolates - well, at least flowers. :) Glad to hear he got a new job offer immediately. That is awesome. The Lebanese soup sounds good, too.
I just love the message of this photo and the story you included with it.
I am so glad that your husband has received new job offers. I hear on the news that the Recession is over -- but I know more and more people who are losing their job; businesses are closing; and houses are going into mortgage foreclosure.
Its sweet and touching that YOU were on your husband's mind and heart during HIS difficult time. I know it sound corny but perhaps your LOVE made this time go better for him.
I first saw this romantic gesture on the Popular Page this morning.
He sounds like such a sweet man. This is beautiful, I love the brightness of it. I hope everything works out for the best with his career. We've been through a few layoffs over the years and always end up doing better than we were.
I am most moved by your ability to see the good in your partner, in your situation and in the not so obvious. No wonder all has worked out for the pair of you. Clever pic and great conveyance. Gratitude is a lovely thing. Cheers!
Thank you for all of your wonderful comments on my humour photos. I really appreciate them and your comment on the vote.
Dizze the rowdy romantic keeper
