Leeds

Leeds is very different to everywhere I've lived before with its buildings.. The ones in the city centre are so grand and there's a heck of a lot of history here. But a lot of the ones outside the centre are back to back terraced houses, built around the industrial revolution for the working classes. These am not so keen on. They are too uniformed in their redbrick/grid system and a lot of them are uncared for. I'm used to the higgeldy piggeldy streets of Brighton and London where you can turn a corner and it feels very different to the street you were on a moment ago.

Oh! And when laying down to get this photo, a lady came running over, thinking I'd collapsed in the middle of the street. Nice of her !
Interesting perspective to focus on the center line.

I think the sameness is interesting in its own way. Nice perspective!

..you know i love the terraces, not so much back-to-backs cos i've lived in them and its mad.

Great focus and perspective.

Nice to know that even on a street of uniformity there are nice people who will help you out of the street if you fall down. Love your perspective in this - really draws you in.

OMG I cant believe you lay down in the middle of the road...Ive been really tempted to try this angle here too especially on the road to Wat Phnom...I have no doubt the motos would ribbon around me but the black lexus's would probably just run me over...then back up to make sure! brilliant perspective and blurry background.

Great shot!

Love this! Great perspective. The slight off-focus on the houses makes them look miniature. Makes for a cool shot!

great angle Freida, nice words too

As for the lady thinking you had collapsed....." eee tha knows Freida, those northern fook know how t' look after 't'each other up theer ...tha knows , they doooo " (Bad attempt at a yorkshire accent , maybe a bit of my lancashire accent slipped in, but said out of respect rather than a mickey take )

Nice street scene!

I really like this and the more I look at it it becomes more interesting...It's because you took an usual perspective and focused onto the white line...First your eyes see that and then they begin to wonder around
