Pretty much every week we have loads of wonderful weekly theme entries that are black and white! Although we love vivid and colourful photographs, stripping something back to monochrome can change the focus, perspective and meaning of what we see.
With options to adjust our pictures becoming easier with smartphones or pre-installed picture editing software on our computers, we're hoping a monochrome theme will be something everyone can have a go at.
So, try to have fun with this theme as you have the freedom to take pictures of anything - or you could challenge yourself a little by trying to capture monochrome patterns, items or scenes around you!
How to enter this weeks theme
When uploading your photos use the tag section (on the edit/organise screen) and insert this week's theme tag: theme-monochrome
Entry Guidelines: Photos must be your own and must have been taken and uploaded from Monday 13th February until the following Sunday (6 days). 5 finalists will be chosen on the Sunday night (PST), then you get to vote for the winner.
Winner of the 'Traditions' theme
Thank you to everyone who took time to check out our finalists and the stories behind the photos, we're excited to announce @stefneyhart as the winner of the traditions theme! We love how this image catches just a split second of a tradition, and perhaps a special connection that the man in the scene has with the birds - come rain or shine!
Vote for the 'Romantic' theme winner
What a lovely bunch of entries we had this week - thank you to everyone who took part! You guys obviously have big hearts and lots of love to share. It was a tough call but we've narrowed down our five finalists for the romantic theme!
To vote, just reply to this blog post with the number (in digit form) of the photo you would like to see win.
