Another goal for many budding, and experienced photographers, is to be able to capture some action, which is the inspiration behind this week'd theme: motion!
Wherever you are, theres a good chance you won't have to look far to spot something moving, whether it's a car zooming past, a bird flying overhead or a morning jogger striding past.
Maybe you'll create your own motion, perhaps by causing ripples in water (inspired by the latest theme winner!), drawing in a dark sky with flashlights, or asking your children to leap in the air.
What ever you decide, try swotting up on how to take burst shots and have fun with it!
How to enter this week's theme
When uploading your photos use the tag section (on the edit/organise screen) and insert this week's theme tag: theme-motion.
Entry Guidelines: Photos must be your own and must have been taken and uploaded from Monday 4th December until the following Saturday (6 days). 5 finalists will be chosen on the Sunday afternoon (PST), then you get to vote for the winner.
Winner of the 'Zoom' theme
Thanks again to everyone who cast a vote for this week's finalists, we're excited to announce @christinabengephotography as the winner of the zoom theme!
What looks so simple and sleek, can be a real challenge to master, which is what we love most about @christinabengephotography's stunning photograph. Everything is working in harmony, from the crisp capture of movement, to a tightly cropped frame and bold contrast between the red dyed water and grey background. It was especially lovely reading the secret behind the shot in the comments too!
Vote for the 'Rule of Thirds' theme winner
We loved looking through all of your entries to the rule of thirds theme - so, thanks for all the submissions!
As usual, it wasn't easy to choose just five finalists, but we got there in the end!
To vote, just reply to this blog post with the number (in digit form) of the photo you would like to see win.
