It's no secret that the 365 community loves a photograph of a cute critter, so in dedication to our fury friends, this week's theme is 'pet'.
We know a lot of you have dogs and cats, or even horses, snakes and rabbits, and know how much fun you have photographing them. But if like Ross and I, you're pet-free, now's the perfect time to visit friends and family who'll be able to help you out!
You might also be thinking how tricky it'll be to get your pet to sit still for a minute, but you could even use this to your advantage by practicing taking action shots, especially if you find yourself in the park with lots of dogs playing fetch!
We're already looking forward to seeing what you and your animal friends get up to!
How to enter this week's theme
When uploading your photos use the tag section (on the edit/organise screen) and insert this week's theme tag: theme-pet.
Entry Guidelines: Photos must be your own and must have been taken and uploaded from Tuesday 31st July until the following Sunday (6 days). 5 finalists will be chosen on the Monday evening (PST), then you get to vote for the winner.
Winner of the 'Panoramic' theme
As always, we'd like to thank everyone for casting your votes this week, we're thrilled to announce @rjb71 as the winner for the panoramic theme!
We love how @rjb71 has seamlessly stitched together four vertical photographs in Light Room to achieve this irresistible sunset shot. The colours are especially captivating, with the warm golden glow, and rich blues and greens that have remained strong despite the low light - something many of us struggle with when taking panoramic shots on our smartphones. Last but not least, the composition is magical, nailing the also golden, 'rule of thirds'.
Vote for the 'Close' theme winner
As always, we loved looking at your entries for the close theme. We love that there are so many beautiful shots of bees pollinating flowers. It wasn't easy, but we finally managed to short list our five finalists, so now it's over to you!
To cast your vote, just reply to this blog post with the number (in digit form) of the photo you would like to see win.
(and thank you for including mine!)
( my lodger cat is sooooo purrrfectly excited to have a legitimate reason to be uploaded to 365!)
thanks!
