What better time to bring back the Weekly Theme than the first week of 2017!

For those of you that are new to the Weekly Theme process, it's a fun way to set yourself a challenge and focus for the week - especially helpful if you have a touch of 'photographer's block'. Most importantly, it's a great way to get involved in the community.

Every Sunday we will set a new Theme and all participating 365ers simply need to upload their entries before the following Saturday, ensuring you tag your entry photos with the given tag. On the following Sunday we then select five of our favourites, ready for the 365 community to cast their votes for a winner - which is announced one week later. The result is that we'll end up having a weekly post that announces a winner, sets a new theme and starts the vote for the latest theme. You'll get the hang of it pretty quickly!

So, here goes for 2017!

This weeks theme - Something New

Understandably, 2017 has got us feeling fresh and ready for new challenges - after all, we're all familiar with the phrase "New Year, New Me/Challenge/Look/Diet/Job....etc".

So what theme could be more appropriate than to celebrate and focus on 'Something New'.

How to enter: Tag your photos (on the edit/organise screen) with the tag theme-somethingnew.
Entry Guidelines: Photos must be your own and must have been taken and uploaded from Monday 2nd January until the following Saturday night (6 days). 5 finalists will be chosen on the Sunday, then you get to vote for the winner. Simple!

@hellemoller Hi! You should see a 'Tags' box just below the Description and above the date section on the edit page of your image. Just add as many tags as you like in there, using a space to separate tags. 😊

Does the winner choose the next theme too?
January 4th, 2017
Hi @30pics4jackiesdiamond we used to run the theme that way but it took a lot of organising and was a constant barrier to getting the theme live on time - so we are trying a new approach for the next few themes to see how we get on.

@bilbaroo I am a newbie to this group and learning the ins/outs... I posted an entry for this challenge but it isn't showing in the submissions? I tagged it as outlined... what am I not doing correctly?
January 8th, 2017
Sounds fun! Too late for me to enter this weeks but will next Monday

Hi @swwoman welcome to the group! It looks like the tags might have got split up, so you have separate tags for "new" and "theme-something" - probably an auto correct blip or something! If you go to the edit page for that image just try adding the tag again, making sure to keep it as one word "theme-somethingnew" ifingers crossed that should work :-)
