This week we've really noticed the days are getting longer, probably because it's staying light past 5pm. Naturally, it makes me want to stop, look at the sky, and appreciate the sun setting as i make my way home, which has inspired this week's theme up.
A popular theme in the past, 'looking up' is a fun way to play with new perspectives. Whether you shoot your camera skyward or interpret it differently and ask a model to look up at you.
Most importantly, we hope you have fun and are already looking forward to seeing your entries!
How to enter this week's theme
When uploading your photos use the tag section (on the edit/organise screen) and insert this week's theme tag: theme-up.
Entry Guidelines: Photos must be your own and must have been taken and uploaded from Monday 5th February until the following Saturday (6 days). 5 finalists will be chosen on the Sunday afternoon (PST), then you get to vote for the winner.
Winner of the 'Light vs. Dark' theme
Thank you to everyone who took a minute to cast a vote for the light vs. dark theme! We're super excited to announce @vera365 as the winner!
We love how @vera365 uses high contrast B&W to complement the art deco feel of the theatre's retro listing board and neon lights! You can't help but wonder if the couple went and saw the film, and how many other couples have stood in that same spot over the decades that the theatre might have been there.
Vote for the 'Filters' theme winner
Thank you to everyone who entered this week's theme - we've enjoyed looking at so many different interpretations for a theme that we haven't tried before. It wasn't easy but we managed to choose our five finalists for the filters theme!
To cast your vote, just reply to this blog post with the number (in digit form) of the photo you would like to see win.
(and thank you for including mine!)
