This is to demonstrate my protest of the potential passage of Arizona Law SB 1062.
This proposition is a disgrace to my state as well as a disgrace to all human beings.
State Bill 1062 proposes the legal right to discriminate against gays citing that it is 'against their religious belief'. It is an atrocity.
The fact that it passed the Arizona House and is now sitting on our governor's desk for final approval irritates me. There no longer exists a separation of church and state here in Arizona. It is a tragedy. Therefore, I am blue.
Those that live in Arizona have no say in this matter. This bill was not proposed by the people that live here.
at shane's suggestion, I reprocessed this to try to fade out the cabinets more, but that stupid scrapbook thing is still there. i shot this so quick last night that I didn't give it too much thought.
I think this does work better. And setting up shots and then getting the results you want is something you learn as you go on. For a set up shot like this I would tend to add a duplicate layer then clone out or smudge out or rub out things I don't want - but I don't always do it, don't usually have the time to play that much
Nice shot. Shame that law is in the process of being passed. We are get pushed partners this week (it is my first time). Looking through your shots I think I would like to challenge you to do a portrait employing Rembrandt light and chiaroscuro. I hope this challenge works for you.
I read about this earlier on today. An appalling situation. I like this shot. I use a free online editing program called ribbet. It would be easy enough to remove the cabinets behind with the clone tool xx
Like the shot! I lived in Kansas for many years, went to grad school at Kansas State, and have many friends there. Unfortunately, I have been ashamed to tell people in Canada that I once called that place home due to the states discrimination movement. All the other states doing this type of crap (SC, TX, AL, MS, LA, OK, AZ, and UT) makes me a bit sad. Will I have to hide my nationality?
@psychographer Since this photo is posted here, I;m rather stuck with it now, but I'll try your suggestion and post the results in another folder tomorrow. thanx for the idea. I appreciate it! And, yes, the whole notion of this law is utterly appalling.
@blueberry1222 I haven't listened I'm afraid. I tend to comment when I'm in a room of people watching TV so can't have sound on the laptop. I'll try and listen tomorrow xx
@brianarmoured I'm certainly hoping that's the case. I am not impressed that our governor is in what is essentially hiding. There exists no communication on her part.
