One year after the tsunami and Fukushima disaster, my husband and I traveled to Japan. I came across this 'art graffiti' and thought it a poignant statement. Japan remains conflicted with their relationship to nuclear power. If they could live without nuclear, they would, but Japan has basically no other resources for power. To me, this sticker demonstrates the frustration....a child chewing on the nuclear symbol. I took this photo exactly two years ago today. I have been going through my Japan photos and reminiscing.
Very powerful and thought provoking.

@rachelwithey yes, it was on my bucket list as well. we went because even one year after the event, people were still afraid to travel there and the fares were super cheap. The yen keeps falling and is even lower today than two years ago. Still is a terrific time to travel there if anyone is thinking about going....

Amazing who quickly they cleared the devastation up. The Chinese won't take the fish from Japan due to the radiation pollution. What a unique country Japan is...
