On the drive back from Laughlin, NV to Phoenix AZ, I spotted a helicopter stuck in the power lines and made hubby pull over. We watched the helicopter sit there for awhile and then we were happy to see him pull away so we got back in the car and drove off. Once on the highway, I turned around and looked back only to see the helicopter still stuck in the original position. Very faintly in the second shot, you can see the power line still wrapped around the landing gear. We were on the highway and couldn't turn back around and besides, there was not much we could do to help. Mind you, this is in the middle of absolutely nowhere. About 20 minutes later, we were relieved to see a truck hauling a huge crane which we are pretty sure is going to be used to pluck the pilot off the wires. I googled for news about the event, but no news at all about it so far. I hope all ended well.
