Our favorite go-to Mexican restaurant closed. Not that we knew that because we hadn't been out to eat for a while. We liked to go here, sit on the patio, drink a beer, eat chips and tacos and listen to live music. Those days are gone. Sometimes it makes me sad to think about musicians and small businesses. I really, really, really hate Covid.
Staying on the topic of Covid...I just learned something disturbing at the hospital yesterday. So get this....when a patient comes into the hospital and tests positive for Covid, we treat them for x number of days until they get discharged, but they get released without another Covid test being performed. So, in other words, they get sent back into the wild not knowing if they are still technically Covid or not. They are not told to quarantine or anything, they just get sent back home. It would make sense to me that those patients would get tested again before being discharged, but they aren't. What the flying f*ck? Makes no sense to me. America's lack of concern is driving me crazy.
It is so sad to see all these businesses permanently closed.
Very disturbing what you write about the patients going back home without further testing. It sounds totally illogical and dangerous.
Until September, our second tests were obligatory. Then they were withdrawn because many people were always positive. Some have been in forced isolation for 5 months. It's all too fresh and we're feeling in the dark.
Oh no, I really do feel for your country at the moment. It must be so frustrating and worrying for you.
All your current President seems to want to do in his final weeks is to prove he won the election.
