The cathedral was once attached to the tower. I lived in an apartment in the centre of Utrecht, close to this cathedral. Walk along memory lane seeing this.
@overalvandaan My husband and I decided that if we ever lived in the Netherlands, we'd choose to live in Utrecht. We really enjoyed it there and found it appealing.
@blueberry1222 my partner said the same, it's a student city, young people, and also not so touristy as Amsterdam, I love the cobblestones roads in the inner city, the 'werven' (cellars) on the same level as the canal and also that it doesn't take that long on your bike and you're in the 'green' :-)
Love :-) My partner lived in Wales and after two years of long distance 'courting', I decided to take the step to move to Wales (he was taking care of his mum who was ill). That's six and half years ago!
