I love archaeology and I read about Schliemann and all his Mycenaean discoveries way back when I was a young kiddo. It meant a lot to me to see this mask in person.

This is an amazing piece. I remember seeing it in 1982 when I traveled to Greece... I was struck by seeing it in person.
