Have you ever taken a photo of something only to look at it later and realize that something else was in the photo that you didn't notice was there originally? I didn't even see the spider when I took this shot. I was attracted to the plant growing on the rock.
He is a tiny spider and I'm surprised he didn't suddenly disappear as they do!

They can move very fast and it probably just wanted to photo-bomb your shot.

Yes, that happens to me, too. I have often taken a picture of rock for the texture and location shots, and discover a face in the rocks after I get it up on my computer. If you're interested in some examples, check out my "Faces of Nature" gallery here: https://www.hockshots.com/Faces-of-Nature/

And your focusing was terrific - like this in b&w. I'm often finding tiny critters after I put it on the computer.
