So, my get pushed partner challenged me to: 'take a summer photo filled with color, ask yourself the question "what is summer to me?"
Where I live, it gets to be a zillion degrees outside in the summer, and it happens to be when I have to do my garden projects. I can only get out there in the morning before the sun takes over my yard. So, summer to me is getting up at 6am on my days off and doing as much as I can outside before I lose my shade and have to retreat indoors. This is my project of redoing my veggie beds.

@satinscape the sunflowers are in the front yard and I really need to pull them as they look pathetic but I want them to fully seed first.

It looks like a lot of work, but it will be well worth it when you are finished. I was just reading your narrative when my husband said he set his alarm for 6 am so he could get up and work on the house (residing) before it got hot! Made me smile and sympathize with you (and him).
