Perhaps this is just a super red neck american thing? Figure eight racing where guys drive around in beat up cameros where the goal is to be the first one around 12 laps (in a figure eight) without getting into an accident. Wheels were flying, cars were being tipped over, and dust was everywhere. Good times.
