Sitting in the courtyard drinking coffee at the Barnes Foundation Art Museum, Philadelphia. I love buildings that have the outside inside.

It is a fabulous collection. I saw it before it was moved to the Philadelphia site. There was a big brouhaha when it was proposed and then made to happen.

@joysabin where was the collection displayed before bring moved to the Barnes?

@blueberry1222 At Dr. Barnes home in Lower Marion - the collection was viewed as he had placed it on the walls and I think that the neighbors were very tried of all the traffic that the museum visitors caused. So I guess politics won the battle.
