MY rules say "no fillers" but in a way this is a filler because although I took the shot today it's not really of anything, it's just a nice view without any.....umph? It doesn't grab me so I don't expect it will you either, but it's my best effort of the day so as always that's what you get :)
p.s. for any viewers in the South of England this is what a full reservoir looks like! :))
Our reservoirs are pretty full now too - that's the drought for you! ;)
I love the blues in this - especially the water. I like your composition too with the tower and the depth to the hills at the back.
@humphreyhippo@beeblebear@allisonrap Thank you - you all epitomise the supportive nature of 365, sometimes it's difficult to see the positive things about an image of your own, it's good to have your help :))
Exactly how I felt today, lack of umph, still tomorrows another day, and we've had plenty of water, but 2 days of brilliant sunshine and no doubt we'll be on hosepipe bans too! Gorgeous blues : )
@cottoncandy Thanks Mischell @lorraineb Cheers Lorraine, seems like I need to find something blue to shoot next time I'm short of ideas and inspiration :)
@iqscotland Thanks iq - your comments affect me more than you realise - twice today I discounted a shot because the view included pylons, seems you've become my 'landscape conscience' sat on my shoulder all day! That's meant to be complimentary by the way :)
@myautofocuslife Yep, we're having a really good spell Livia - it won't last long! @seanoneill Cheers Sean, I know there a good points to be found in the image, it just didn't shout at me but it's done and drew more positive comments than I expected, onwards and upwards! :)
I do like the blue water, looks like a nice spot for a summer picnic. Even though your photo isn't full of excitment, I did discover that when constructed in 1832 the Entwistle Dam was the highest in Britain; it rises 108 feet from the base. Isn't Wikipedia so full of information!!
