Went to turn off the lamp this morning and noticed a pretty reflection from this mosaic candleholder in the glass tabletop. So just for kicks I took a picture but when I imported it I noticed all those glorious dancing lights...that is bokeh, right? A happy accident! :) Won't win any awards for this but it IS my picture of the day!
I like how it is always a surprise how much bokeh you actually get once you load your photos on your computer as it never shows that well on the LCD screen. Get shot
Thanks everyone! I've gotten some pretty nice blurred backgrounds in pictures before but I've never had any of the little circles of light like this before! I was thrilled when I saw them after uploading the pics! It felt like such a huge accomplishment at the time. HA! I know, I'm sooooo lame!! :)
i LOVE this, too! nice job! (and I totally agree with what you said about never imagining shooting "mundane" objects and how amazing the images can come out!)
@stepheesue Thanks Stephanie...it really opens up a whole new way of thinking for me especially since the weather outside is so dull & dreary lately. There just isn't much of anything to take pictures of until it snows. I find myself wandering around the house looking for shiny, sparkly things now!! :)
