I went out early this morning to start my suv and it was all frosted up which is nothing unusual but when I opened the door to the back to put my grandson's backpack in I noticed the sun shining through the passenger side window. WOW....the sunshine was hitting the little frosted flakes highlighting their intricate patterns so I ran in and grabbed my camera before the defroster destroyed them all and this is what I got. This is pretty much what came out of the camera with a little added clarity and crop job. I don't know why the background turned out so black since it was pretty light out. I posted another picture after they started melting. Hope these aren't too weird....you guys got me started, now I can stop experimenting!! :)
Frosted Flakes but not the kind you eat. aren't you glad you had to go to the back of the suv or you would have missed this great opportunity for a photo. nicely done.
In my opinion this is the essence of photography - taking advantage of the moment and seeing what happens. This photo looks like silver painted snowflakes. Very lovely. Thanks for all of your nice comments about my photos.
The detail is phenomenal. I especially like the contrast between light and dark. Personally, the color scheme is not my favorite, but all in all a really adorable, impressive photo. :)
Thank you for each & every one of your comments! Some days you just walk out the door and nature supplies the picture of the day without any effort at all. This one was just there waiting for me...luckily I saw them before they melted! :)
