Light snow gently fell this afternoon giving the dreary landscape a welcome blanket of white. The calm before the storm it seems....a blizzard warning has been issued for overnight and the winds are already howling. I decided to revisit the little stream where I took my very first picture for 365 last month. I stood on the same little bridge to take this one but I shot it in the opposite direction from the first. I decided to go back today to get a picture of it dressed for winter...so pretty and silent there, not a sound to be heard anywhere!
Thank you for all the nice compliments, I really do appreciate every single one them! :) The snow was a great motivator for me....way too much drab & dreary around here lately so for now the snow was a welcome sight...in another month or so probably not so much! :)
It is a fabulous winter photo! Have you noticed how the snow, as it covers the Earth, mutes all sounds around? While shoveling last night, for the third time, I noticed it again. I could still hear cars moving, but all else seemed muted. It was cool!
