My Hibiscus plant evidently doesn't know or care that it's January and temps started out below zero today because it had 3 brand new blooms open up this morning! Sadly the blooms only last for about a day but it always seems to be loaded with new buds to take their place. :)
There are some beautiful hibiscus shots around but this orange takes a lot of beating; beautiful detail of veining, lovely textures, lovely soft background. Gorgeous.

A FAV for me Paula! This is one of my favourite flowers. How funny that it can't tell the seasons. Maybe it just knew that you would do such a beautiful job of photographing it... fate? Love it!!!
I love hibiscus and sadly the one I bought this summer was left outside. I knew better but forgot until it was too late. That is such a beautiful pic and flower. I am longing for warm weather, sunshine and color.
....but no frame :-(
