This guy just sat in that branch for a couple of minutes perfectly still just posing for me. I had another male cardinal earlier in the day but he was very thin and really drab in color. I don't know if he is an older bird but this one was so vividly colored I had to go ahead and take his picture....glad I did because I didn't manage to get anything else all day.
