I took the scenic route home this morning after I dropped Joey off at school and stopped by Wolf Creek to take a couple of pictures. No sun, frost or fog this morning but it was already a balmy 49 degrees when we left for school....instead we had quick rain shower and then the sun came out and we eventually got up to 64 degrees...time to break out the flip flops! This was taken with a wide angle lens (10-24mm).
Very pretty view. I like the way you processed it to make it look almost like a pastoral painting. The day looks grey but the sheen on the water belies that and looks very bright. Pretty. Thx for you comment. I tried to crop it but it looks nicer the way it is.
Thank you Juliette for your kind comment! I have no idea what tone mapping is so I didn't do that!! lol I've been trying to figure out my way around Photoshop lately and have been using a couple of trial versions of software I've seen recommended on here... Nik Efex and Topaz. I also tried a trial version of OnOne Software that I liked so much I purchased it...I think it's called PhotoSuite 5.5 but there are several modules you can buy individually rather than the entire suite. I can use the OnOne is Lightroom but Topaz and Nik I've been using in PS. I'm a total novice at some of this editing stuff so I'm just going by trial and error right now. I also like to tweak and frame in Picnik too! Sorry, that wasn't very helpful....I'm constantly moving this slider and undoing that slider so when I'm finished I'm not sure exactly I got to the final version! :)
