This Gorilla at Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo was quite the willing subject. He looks so passive in this picture but soon after this was taken he launched himself multiple times at the viewing glass panels which caught the attention of a couple of the other males who then came over and they all started fighting. I could sit and watch them for hours...some of their expressions and mannerisms are so human it's uncanny. Unfortunately there were too many people there last weekend to get many clear pictures and all the reflections in the glass were annoying. The zoo was amazing but I couldn't help but feel sad looking at some of the animals trapped behind bars & glass as they paced back & forth.
