I went out to one of my favorite spots this afternoon....a small state park that is literally right up the road from us. It has a forested area, lakes, a wildlife preserve including buffalo, elk, deer and other small animals and best of all, while I was there I actually spotted some color which seemed oddly out of place. I spotted these red berries clear up at the very top of a couple trees....too high for the deer to reach evidently. They're a little worse for wear and kind of shriveled up but I thought these bright red berries were definitely worthy of a picture.
