Had a gorgeous day out with my friend and her adorable black Labrador pup. Northumberland countryside at its best - sunshine, blue skies and seas, some sheep and a castle or two strewn in for good measure! Did a long walk from Craster to Dunstanburgh Castle in the autumn sunshine.
So sorry, clearly had too much fun having a social life this weekend and am now terribly behind with uploading and commenting...
@fueast Thank you so much Alison! It's one of my favourite places too. I can't believe how long I hadn't been there, but there are so many places to choose from...
@johnnyfrs@mortisa@daisy Thanks all for the lovely comments. The sky was lovely and I love the location - you get such a great feeling of open space there.
@sabanford It's quite deceiving! It's actually only about a mile and a half from the village if you go the direct route, but you can't really see the size of the walled grounds as they are sloping down behind the gate walls.
This is gorgeous - not sure how I missed it earlier. The clouds all point to the castle and the skies go on forever, you've captured them beautifully like that!
A stunning shot...FAV! .I did the Castles and coastal walk of Northumbria this year which was fab.......Bought a whole load of kippers in Crasters and loved Dunstanburgh almost as much as I love Corfe Castle. in Dorset......something very special and mystical about them both....
@lindilou Thanks so much for the fav!! Glad you had such a great time doing the coastal walk! I've only done parts of it, but the area has something very mystical about it indeed. Must add Corfe Castle on my list of places to check out when I'm heading South :-)
