Soothing Bokeh by bmnorthernlight

Soothing Bokeh

Still feeling very much under the weather and have taken to my bed instead of going back to work :-(

In between sneezing, blowing my nose and coughing I spent a whole 5 minutes on this shot, so distracting background it is! My walls are far from minimalist...My thermos has been in great demand, dispensing some much needed soothing cups of bokeh.

Thank you all for the lovely comments on the filler shots I posted yesterday. Day 100 coming up and I wanted to fill some of the blanks to make sure the counter is actually correct :-)

Hope none of the germs have bee transmitted via picture and yyou are all feeling toasty!!
Nothing like a warm mug of bokeh to get you feeling sorted:) This is lovely. Very warm tones, nice lighting. Cosy! Feel better!!

awesome!! great theme shot!

very nice: the choice of thermos for focusing was great, because its shiny details are even more pleasant

What an amazing shot! Did you stage it or photoshop it or just use your magic wand?! Hope you're feeling better soon :)

@mortisa Aw, thanks! But hope you're feeling better soon yourself! hate those bugs :-(

@ladydi53 Thank you! Had a red candle on the table to give a bit of light but upped the contrast too. Sorry to hear you're under the weather too!

@johnnyfrs @rhoing @harley84 Thank you all so much :-)

@woot Thank you!! Took one just with the mug, but I agree I preferred the shiny thermos :-)

@filsie65 Aw, thank you! Lol, no magic wand I'm afraid or photoshop in this case...the fairy lights just hung from the door frame you can see in the background and it was a case of getting the distances right. The box of tissues conveniently hides the TV screen too ;-) I just put my focus on manual and play around until I like the bokeh

Nice image - I am one of those heathens who doesn't get people's fascination with bokeh - but the colours/lighting/composition in this photograph work really well. Hope you feel better soon - I know it sucks to be sick!

@sixthblade Thank you Miguel! Lol, I know everything is going a bit bokeh crazy and I thought I had mine out of my system. But seeing as I'm stuck inside and it's the week's theme it's all about the bokeh again :-)

Great job pulling out a brilliant shot even though you're feeling under the weather!! Wishing you a speedy recovery :)

Not a fan of bokeh but this is one of the more interesting ones for me.

Thermos of bokeh - great idea and lovely pic!

@adeakinyede Thank you so much :-) I was quite relieved it kind of worked out the way I had envisaged it - was knackered after playing
around with it for 5 minutes ;-)

@sabanford @daisy @michaelelliott Thank you all so much for the comments!

@cliffs Hahaha, quite hard to escape the bokeh madness on here at the moment! Thanks!

Love this shot. You can still be creative even when sick.. Talent... This shot totally makes me feel cosy and I almost wish it was cold in my corner of the world so I could snuggle up with a warm cup of bokeh :)
