We love making calendars for each other as Christmas presents in my family. Not sure when this started. I remember making calendars for my Dad with drawings when I was little and he would take them into work - well, at least that's what I was told ;-)
This Christmas was a real feast of calendars for each other to see us through the new year. My Dad's calendar from last year has just come down (bottom of the picture). His new one is already on my windowsill in the office full of wonderful shots from home and our holidays together. My sisters have also produced wonderful gems - one with beautiful photographs from Iceland and our last holiday in Copenhagen, the other with lovely scenes from the Baltic coast and poems! I feel very lucky to get such wonderful gifts.
Thank you all so much for the wonderful comments and faves for my new Year's Eve and New Year's Day shots! 365 was not a new year resolution for me, but it is one of the best decisions I've ever made! The time and comments you all give is such an important part of it - thank you all! It's good to be catching up slowly but surely with the stunning shots you have posted.
I am attempting the SOOC week challenge - had to restrain myself from hitting those editing buttons ;-)
Ooh nice - you're all at it!! Love that ceiling pic. I've been doing one for a few years - this one is best due to 365. I've been battling with my Blurb book - I'm hoping it will speed up when I've learned the ropes!
Great tradition. I've started taking a monthly shot of my son since he was born, and at the end of the year I collect the best shot and print a calendar. This is one of the things which got me into photography: "the magic" happened last april when I got so excited about a picture I got, that decided I wanted to be'abile to shot good pics without relying only on luck:) i definitely think is nice to exchange calendars the way you do
What a sweet family tradition!! My daughter gave me a calendar one year with her kids and my other grandkids featured in the photos each month! I thought it was great!! Wish she would do it again!
