Oh my giddy aunt - what an amazing shot! Can't believe that 1-there were mozzies dancing about in January or 2-they held still long enough for you to snap them so clearly! or 3-that they obliged in front of the sun like that!! Wonderful B, well done!!

@fueast haha, thanks for commenting - may I just add that I worked New Year's Eve and Day ;-) I usually keep well away from mozzies but they looked quite magical for whatever reason
I think this is a quite incredible shot! How could you get so many mosquitos in sharp focus?!? love the way light creates a dreamy atmosphere too. Enjoy your holidays!
@woot Thanks so much for the fav, Davide!! I have now idea to be honest...well,the autofocus worked a treat this time round and they seemed quite giddy with the light and didn't move too much from the spot

@sparkle Lol, I usually keep my distance whenever I can! My friends used to not bother with bug repellent when I went out with them on a summer night...they just kept close to me and knew they wouldn't get a single bite!
@adeakinyede Thank you so much for the fav! Yay :-) Cropped and exposure settings and colours slightly changed and a tiny little cross process too ;-) but the mozzies were all there with that light
Kept looking at this on PP and thinking that must be somewhere with a warm evening.......lol January in Tyneside!! Who would have thought. I noticed some of these at the weekend and thought nah....couldn't capture those! This is such a beautiful shot and the sunlight is just perfect. A belated fave from me too!
