We had a promising sunrise Friday morning. Went for a drive around Lake Coniston with my friend and baby Will. Every time we stopped and got out of the car it started to rain. Managed to get soaked on a little wander along the north end of the lake but sneaked in one shot before the camera was too wet to continue...Dutifully fled to a comfy Pub for lunch to dry off in front of a roaring fire :-)
Thank you, thank you, thank you to you all for commenting, viewing and faving the dancing mozzies! Without it they would have never appeared in the Top 20!!! I am truly humbled and stunned. And if it wasn't raining I would head down to the park right this afternoon and tell them about their ten minutes of fame and thank them for dancing so beautifully :-) You are all wonderful and I promise to catch up with your shots very very soon!!
Beautiful shot. I love Coniston - I've skated on it as a teenager (well slid around in my shoes) - super cold would probably be better than rain but as you say rain equals pub equals good food and beer in the Lakes....
Perfect tones. I'm really wishing I had started my project in the summer so I would have to take less pictures during the rainy season. It makes it had to get out and get those wonderful landscapes.
B you are on a roll of wonderful shots! Love this one... love the tones, the light, the surprise that it's not a path and a short walk after all! Can't wait to go to the lakes... beautiful shot! And Blarmin well done on the mozzie shot - you so deserved it! :)
